Privacy policy

A Little More Present is a parenting journal provided by Marlow Innovations Inc. Here’s how we handle your information.

Your writing and photos stay with you

Your journal entries, moods, dates, settings, and chosen photos are saved on your device. You do not need to create an app account. We do not send your writing or photos to our servers or to RevenueCat, the service that helps us manage subscriptions.

The app does not add its own encryption to your saved journal or backup files. Protect your device and keep any backup files private.

Free, optional cloud backups

Automatic backup is free. You choose whether to turn it on. When enabled, it copies your journal and photos to your own iCloud account on iPhone or Google Drive account on Android. The Google Drive connection can access this app’s private backup area, not your other Drive files.

Backups run while the app is open and when you return to it. They are separate saved copies, rather than a live connection between devices. An iCloud backup marked as prepared may still be uploading. Your cloud account, internet connection, and available storage can affect whether a backup finishes.

Turning backup off or disconnecting your account does not delete copies already saved to the cloud. Deleting a journal entry or photo from the app also does not remove it from older backups or files you have shared. Google Drive keeps up to ten saved backups from each device. The app does not automatically remove older iCloud backups. You control the backup files you save or share separately.

Apple and Google handle cloud information under their own privacy policies.

Payments and subscriptions

Apple or Google handles payments. We do not receive your full payment-card details. We use RevenueCat to check purchases and keep paid features available to subscribers.

For this purpose, RevenueCat receives an app identifier that is not your name, purchase receipts or other proof of purchase, information about the plan and transaction, subscription status, and technical details about your device, software, and connection. Our app does not send your journal writing or photos to RevenueCat.

Read RevenueCat’s privacy policy, Apple’s privacy policy, and Google’s privacy policy. These providers may handle information in other countries and keep purchase records to provide their services and meet legal requirements.

Photos and reminders

You choose which photo to add from your photo library. The app does not request access to your camera or microphone. Daily reminders are optional and run on your device. You can change or turn them off in the app or your device’s notification settings. Turning on reminders does not upload your journal.

Deleting information and keeping a copy

With an active trial or subscription, you can edit or clear your writing and moods. You can read and export saved memories, remove saved photos, restore backups, and choose whether to use cloud backup even after paid access ends. Removing the app usually removes its saved journal from that device, although device backups may keep a copy. Cloud backups and files you have saved or shared may remain.

We cannot recover your journal from our servers because we do not keep it there. Keep a completed backup if you want protection against a lost device or an uninstalled app.

To ask about access to or deletion of subscription information, email support@alittlemorepresent.com. We’ll explain what we can help with and what Apple, Google, or RevenueCat needs to handle. Some purchase records must be kept for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons. We use information you send to support to respond to you. Please avoid sending private journal entries or family photos unless needed for your request.

For parents and adult caregivers

The app is for adults. Children do not need an account or submit information themselves. You choose what family details and photos to record. Only add content you have permission to use, and respect other people’s privacy.
